barca nights are twice as long with half the rules!

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm i am obsessed with this place. i may never return...

i just walked around for like four hours and checked out some shops. it's a holiday so i had no class, but that also means a lot of the shops were closed =( i have no idea what we're celebrating!
but some places were open and it was really neat. i didn't buy anything though.. i am scared to! i feel like i am going to run out of money so quick!

the people here are so friendly it's not real. like everyone says hi to you and everyone is always smiling =)

today at like 12:30 my roommate rita was cooking a whole bunch of food and then she said it was for me and joana and it was so good! it was indonesian soup. with potatoes and rice and chicken and bean sprouts, soooooooo good. the broth was the best. and she said they eat everything with rice, even omelets!
so then joana said she'd make us some spanish food, and i just had it. it was tortillas and bread with tomato and olive oil spread on it, very famous in cataluna. the tortilla wasn't just a flour tortilla like you think of though. it was super thick and had rice and potatoes in it and this salt that has a little spice in it. SO GOOD. i am obsessed. now i need to cook some american food for them! hamburguesas anyone???
i will probably gain about 20 pounds while i am here, but it will be so worth it!
