this is it

i have so many emotions right now it's hard to think! i had my heart set on Barcelona from the start, but i never knew i'd fall in love with it this much.

i keep thinking back to the person i was when this all first started, and i kind of want to laugh, but i won't ;) it's just weird when people tell you you will change and then you can actually tell that you have. even last semester feels like a completely different world than this semester. it's just a new group of people, a new place to live, etc. etc. new adventures always!

it's not that i don't want to go home, but i don't want to leaaaave!! you can't always get what you want though, right? but i can, because i did! and i will be back one day, ha!

some cool recent things:

i went to a restaurant with my friend and it was a low-key restaurant and i asked her why the menu was all in English? she said i was crazy because it was definitely all in Spanish, haha. look how far i've come!

there's this bookstore that i walk past everyday and i just remembered something about it. when i first came here, in the first few weeks, when i had my Spanish course before real classes started, the teacher recommended this bookstore for a Spanish book she said would help us. i remember going to the store and it was in a place i hadn't seen yet, and i was in love with the area! it's super nice and clean and i was so lost. well, now i live there! and i am still in love with the area. it is still super nice and clean. so super nice that i can't afford anything in the stores around here. but they are fun to look in!

so i am ending on a good note either way. tonight is the world cup game between Spain and Germany, and Saturday and Sunday are the Finals!! i am so lucky to be in a place like this for the world cup. it's insane. yesterday Uruguay lost to the Netherlands and it was sad. a lot of people were rooting for Uruguay and i was too, maybe just because everyone else was. but it was a really interesting game so who cares haha.

on Tuesday, the day before i leave, we have a little fiesta planned. we are going to get lunch at one of the japanese buffets (i will have catalan food on monday :) ) because we all love it, then we will go to the beach and chill out and relax from eating too much. then at night we will stay on the beach and watch all the crazies out to play and maybe go to a bar or something later. it will be fun i'm sure!

also, right now are the HUGE sales going on all over the city, like 50%-70% off. i mean come on, you can't blame me for buying a 7 euro pair of shoes right?? i know i shouldn't, but some deals are too good to pass up. today i am going to buy a dress that i saw for 6 euro! yes i am a girl and i will get excited about clothes...
